About this place
Harami is a good place to start. Diners have praised its tenderness and the flavour that comes through at the first bite; another visitor singled it out as a favourite. The grilled selection at Midori-shokudoen also includes salted tongue, premium short ribs, premium loin and bone-in short ribs, as well as harami, premium tripe and tetchan. To compare a few cuts, you could work from loin through to offal.
One diner’s account describes a shichirin charcoal grill brought to the table for cooking. Others enjoyed the tender premium loin, or picked premium tripe and bone-in short ribs as favourites. The cuts you choose can shape the feel of the meal.
Between servings of meat, try the Chinese cabbage or daikon kimchi, a two-kind kimchi platter or a namul assortment. One diner liked the kimchi’s lightly pickled flavour so much that they order it every time; another paired daikon kimchi and namul with salted tongue. Korean seaweed and chisha lettuce are also available if you’d like to add vegetables to the meal.
Drinks include draft beer, chuhai and highballs, along with sake, shochu and Chamisul. For a lighter finish, there are egg and wakame seaweed soups, as well as heartier yukgaejang and oxtail soups.
The restaurant can accommodate groups and accepts reservations. One visitor found the second-floor seating convenient when dining with children. If you have a preferred seating arrangement or are coming with a group, it may be worth asking ahead.
